I really liked this book because I liked most of Jessica's character. It's all about a young woman named Antanasia Drogomir or Jessica Packwood to the revelation of her true identity and her ruthless yet romantic vampire fiance, Lucius Vladescu. Well, she didn't know she had a vampire blood run in her body. Worst, she didn't know she was vampire princess. At the beginning of this story, I noticed it somehow slightly the same with the Twilight except that when Bella was cut and bleed, Edward was deeply sad after Jasper attacked onto her whilst when Jessica was cut and bleed, Lucius licked his lips at the sight of Jessica's blood. Even Jessica said, "What the hell was that?" I've honestly found it was funny.
When I saw the title, I thought this book's narrated about the guide of how Jessica's to date on the other side. Apparently, this book merely told us just a story, not a guide or reference just like books - For Dummies. There was something I don't understand in this book because I thought vampires didn't liked to be known of their existence, especially in a mass of people. In addition, people in this book actually quickly learned that Lucius was a vampire. And the revelation was quiet public too. This actually making me confuse but I guess I've read too many vampire stories - so of course, there would be different types of vampire version. Then, I strongly pointed that the title is not suitable for the story but again, I do believe that the title must have reason for it to be there.
At the beginning of this book was actually rather fast but started from the middle of book until the rest, the story started became slow but I can assure you, it's a book that will make grow your curiosity more and it's tempted you to know what would happened next. Awesome writing, isn't it? Overall, this book is fine and I recommended, for those who felt totally depressed reading Twilight, this one might show you something else.
