The Book of Luke

The Book of Luke - Jenny O'Connell Reading this book reminds of the old days. High school, friends, rumours, gossips, boyfriends you named it. There are memories made me smile and also memories that me wish to forget. Anyway, people will eventually move on and let the past stays in the past.

Emily Abbott is a nice girl who decided to go to the bad side because she's tired of it, tired of being nice. Her boyfriend broke up with her. She thought that her parents on separation ville. She left her best friends too, in Chicago and reconnected with her former best friends at Boston, Lucy and Josie. Then, the pursuit on school's tradition - seniors to leave something in the time capsule for the next 10 years batch to find out.

This time capsule then leads to the idea to want to forewarn the girls of the next future generations. Which also to provide a book of instruction or guide for future guys. They picked on Luke because they think he's the best candidate or subject for the experiment, whatever you wanted to call it. Eventually Emily fell in love with Luke and from that on, things got messed up, pretty bad.

You know, this book is so predictable so you'll know what sort-of-kind the end of this book. It was a nice reading. The so turn-off about this book is, in the beginning, things went so slow and I did nearly give up on reading this book but decided to stay calm and move on but then suddenly, it's speeding up and found myself I've had just finished reading it at which point I thought, "That's just it?".

There's a phrase I think it's brilliant and agreed with other reviewers, "Trying to make everyone happy doesn't make you nice, it just makes you a liar".
