The Seduction of Miss Amelia is my first read written by Paula Quinn. True to its title, it was indeed a love story accompanied with a lot of romantic scenes. There is a chemistry between hero and heroine too and they are very sweet to one another.

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the story as much as I wanted as it did not reach my expectation. I was expecting it to be similar to Monica McCarty’s Highland Guard series where action scenes took place of most of it, which I prefer and rather to read.

Also, I did not like the writing style as I was often being surprised with the instant change of situation that I had to re-read again to make sure I did not miss anything, it was tiresome.

Besides, the story was dragged it took me awhile to finish it. Hence, I ended up skimming. I needed to finish it so I can move on to the next book and I have loads awaiting.
